11.15.19: Music parents – If you missed out on Autumn Sings last night, you missed out on an awesome show. Our GRHS kids are wonderful vocalists and we were treated to a wide range of genres including, country, rap, rock, and show tunes, there were both popular selections and timeless classics. We also were transported to an Elton John concert by virtue of Mr Pavliv’s rendition of “The One.”
I was blown away by the talent! Mr. Pavliv is already thinking about hosting another in the spring. So plan now to attend!! If you were there, please share your videos and pics on the GRMPA facebook page. Mr. Pavliv would like to curate them!

USBands National Championships are this Saturday, 11/9. Please show up in large numbers and cheer on your award-winning Glen Ridge Marching Band as they take the field at METLIFE STADIUM and perform their show, Amazing Journey – Celebrating Fifty Years of The Who’s Tommy!
Step Off time is 11:30 AM sharp.
If you would like to purchase discount tickets for Nations ($30 instead of $35 at the stadium), please contact Dr Darren Gage (dgage at glenridge dot org).
From Dr. Gage: “I know that you are all as proud as I am of our fierce JOURNEYers, who unleashed their strongest visual and musical performance of the year on the field at USBands NJ State Championships this past Sunday! The students’ improvement has been dramatic week to week all season, but Sunday truly felt like everything came together with a coherence that we hadn’t yet seen. The staff and I are thrilled with the band’s progress, and we can’t wait to drive this high-performance vehicle over our season’s finish line! If I may belabor this metaphor, GRMB will not take its foot off the gas until we march out of the tunnel at MetLife on Saturday. We’re going to accelerate to the finish, leave it all on the field in the Meadowlands, and then look back and celebrate this AMAZING JOURNEY we’ve had!”
